Earth Hour, every day!
On the 28th of March, Earth Hour was celebrated by both EXO Travel Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City offices, as they demonstrated their continued commitment towards advocating for environmental sustainability. During the internationally recognized Earth Hour event, the EXO Travel Vietnam team committed to save energy every hour under the coaching of Alexandra Michat, our Sustainability Coordinator for Vietnam. The offices collectively and voluntarily decided to reduce the use of the air conditioners, and committed to ensuring all electrical equipment is switched off at the end of the day.
Working towards achieving Travelife certification, EXO travel is progressing with a profound internal evolution, enhancing the company’s efforts towards sustainability and perfecting its social and environmental standards. Raising awareness on environmental issues is one of the major aspects of these changes and a new agreement has been put in place by the staff of EXO Vietnam. The agreement was signed by over 140 employees and will remain on display for the entire year.
The agreement will be under annual review, enabling the team to put forward and share ideas on energy saving measures, undertake training on related issues and continue improving their sustainability record on a daily basis.
Similar measures regarding paper, electricity and water consumption have been adopted in Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand, with excellent progress made towards comparable agreements in Laos and Myanmar.
