EXO Travel celebrates Wildlife and Biodiversity!
EXO Travel is signatory to the Bueno Aires Declaration
On 20th April 2018, EXO Travel joined nearly 40 companies and other tourism industry leaders to sign the World Travel & Tourism Council Declaration on Illegal Trade in Wildlife. Taking a bold stand to protect Asia’s rich biodiversity for future generations by promoting responsible wildlife-based tourism is one of many ways we strive to ensure that the power of travel is harnessed for good.
The Declaration consists of four pillars:
- Expression and demonstration of agreement to tackle the illegal wildlife trade
- Promotion of responsible wildlife-based tourism
- Awareness raising among customers, staff and trade networks
- Engaging with local communities and investing locally

Wildlife Talks in our offices
After “Find your kindred species quiz“, a serie of Wildlife Fun Facts and Talks with Wildlife experts has been organized in EXO Travel offices!
CAMBODIA
Following the Cambodian Bird Fair, our long time partner Sam Veasna Center shared with EXO Team the best destinations for wildlife in Cambodia. (see FINAL full map Sam Veasna). As a specialist of birding, they shared with us how to recognize endemic birds living in Cambodia and kindly offered two guide books to our Team. “I see the number of Expert’s wildlife in EXO Cambodia is now increasing! I guess, in the next year we will promote more this kind of product.” Mrs. Samphoas SREY – Inbound Manager
MYANMAR
In March 2018, EXO invited the Wildlife Conservation Society to speak to the team about the work the organisation does and to introduce them to Myanmar’s biodiversity. Approximately 50 staff attended and the overall reaction was very positive. “Thanks for giving the staff the opportunity of always learning more and being more involved!” – “Please arrange more similar talks as we could learn about WCS although it is not very familiar, but related with tourism for some parts. Thanks for organizing!”
VIETNAM
On 19th April 2018, approximately 30 staffs of EXO Travel Saigon office paid full attention to Gaia Nature Conservation talk on Vietnam ecosystems and creatures. They learnt and saw photos of major country’s landscapes and its flagship species…Beautiful plants and animals are to be found in every forest in Vietnam. However, many of them are on the brink of extinctions. EXO staff were happy to see beautiful creatures but also worried about the fact that most of the creatures are endangered!
The talk also introduced threats to nature of Vietnam, and guided on what each of us, especially a tourist should do to protect the nature of Vietnam.
