Rescue P.A.W.S is a not-for-profit animal welfare organization based in Thailand. Their mission is to reduce the overpopulation of stray animals through sterilization, vaccination, and education, while also improving the relationship between human and animal communities.
What do they do?
The small team of vets and volunteers helps the local stray animal population with sterilization, vaccinations and basic veterinary care.
Afterward they are released and return to a pack when possible, if not Rescue P.A.W.S. supports both local and international adoptions and takes care of them until they are adopted.
Additionally, they foster respect for animals through educational initiatives in local schools, teaching children how to interact safely with stray dogs in the street and encouraging community involvement through volunteer and stakeholder engagement.
They also offer free vaccinations and sterilizations for animals owned by people from underprivileged communities, promoting responsible pet ownership.
How can you help?
You can donate with the amount of your choice to help the center.
You can also be a “flight volunteer”, if you plan to leave Thailand or go to Thailand you can help a dog or a cat to fly to their new family overseas. You simply have to add them to your ticket as extra luggage, everything is organized and paid for by Rescue P.A.W.S.
Rescue P.A.W.S organizes day visits for visitors to take part in an educational experience while helping the center. This activity was elected “travellers choice” by Tripadvisor in 2021
EXO Foundation support
In 2024, Rescue P.A.W.S won a sustainability award in the non profit category to reward their hard work.
EXO Foundation also supported the organization with a donation to help them build a new shelter as they have been asked to leave their actual home. This center will be bigger than the previous one, allowing them to rescue more cats and dogs and in better conditions.
