IECD is a French non-profit organization created in 1988 which undertakes development projects in education, vocational training and youth employability, entrepreneurship and healthcare in multiple countries.
What do they do?
Since its creation, IECD has followed human and economic development in the countries where it has been involved. IECD bases its actions on a comprehensive approach to a person. They believe that well-educated people, on an academic, technical, social and human level, will build not only a better community for themselves and their family, but also for their community and society as a whole. IECD encourages the youth, parents, professionals and locally-based development actors to play a responsible and active civic role.

We do this as we believe that well-educated people, on an academic, technical, social and human level, will build not only a better community for themselves and their family, but also for their community and society as a whole. One of their main initiatives is the Association of Southeast Asian Social Enterprises for Training in Hospitality & Catering (ASSET-H&C). This network brings together vocational training centres across the region willing to work hand in hand to bring positive change in the lives of vulnerable youth and adults by teaching them trades that will allow them to successfully integrate into society.
This initiative aims to gather and facilitate experience and expertise exchanges between member schools, to help them build solid and sustainable foundations for the long-term, and to promote them and their common vision of training and tourism before hospitality professionals and public authorities.
