Exotissimo offices in Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh positively assessed by Earth Check
“The man who moves a mountain begins by moving small stones.” Confucius. Ho Chi Minh and Phnom Penh offices under guidance of the Foundation undertook an Earth Check assessment in 2012 & 2013. All consumptions within the offices were recorded and compared to benchmarks elaborated by Earth Check.
Exotissimo offices have put in place Action Plans to monitor their consumption of water, waste and electricity in order to reduce them and so reduce their impact on the environment. Results assessed by Earth Check show that both offices are doing well above average in different areas such as Energy or electricity use. Moreover, following implementation of basic measures such as turning off completely all electric devices, both offices saved energy. Phnom Penh and Saigon are proud to share its very positive results assessed by EarthCheck:
Phnom Penh decreased its electricity consumption by 10% between 2012 and 2013
Saigon waste production is 73% better than the average on the sector
These are first little steps but the first ones are the most important. Earth Check reports can be found here for HCM, for PP, power point presentations for HCM & PP include explanations, equivalences and sum arise action to be taken to curb consumption efficiently. As Earth check does not include paper consumptions in its variables aside measuring the total waste disposed, Exotissimo office in Phnom Penh has also included measurement of paper consumption and taken measures to reduce overall printing.
