OceanKita was created in 2018 and is an exclusive river and sea waters cleanup project solution focusing on Indonesia and East Asia’s markets.
What do they do?
OceanKita aims to clean the ocean by using different tools:
-Water cleanups & Surveys by offering many flexible solutions to clean up all types of water surfaces and survey;
-Waste Processing Solutions by providing professional, environmentally safe and complete waste processing solutions from site appraisal to project completion;
-Consultancy & Studies by offering marine debris and solid waste management studies.
OceanKita works with several stakeholders to sort the waste based on its category and with waste management companies to reduce waste brought to landfills.
EXO Foundation support
We take action for a cleaner world and have invested in purchasing a trawl to clean a river. In March 2020, together with Green School Bali and OceanKita, we are installing a rivertrawl near the school. The objective is to promote this technology to hotels on the island and facilitate sea debris clean up as well as river clean up in Bali. The Green Schooland its students will be in charge of using the technology and removing collected trash from the river.
In 2025 we supported Ocean Kita in the printing of 200 educational and collaborative boardgames about plastic pollution. The goal of this game called Sungai is to clean up a river from plastic.Cards only contain drawings and symbols so the game can be played in every country without language barriers as long as the rules are translated in local language.
