EXO Travel’s New Ambitions for Climate Action
We’ve accompanied EXO Travel to commit to new ambitions and accountability towards climate change. Having operated in Asia for more than 25 years, we’ve seen climate change unfold before our eyes and recognise the very real threat it poses to our region and the world. In recognition of the threats that climate change poses, we’ve pioneered and implemented numerous efforts to help fight it. We accept the current IPCC advice stating the need to cut global carbon emissions to 55% below2017 levels by 2030 in order to keep the planet warming within 1.5degrees. This Climate Action Plan helps EXO Travel monitor, evaluate and improve our environmental impact.
This newly released action plan is divided into four parts:
- WE MEASURE : UNDERSTANDING OUR IMPACTS ON THE CLIMATE
- WE REDUCE: TAKING ACTION FOR THE CLIMATE
- WE COMPENSATE: TAKING ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THE CLIMATE
- WE COLLABORATE: DRIVING POSITIVE CHANGE FOR THE CLIMATE
For each part, bold ambitions are set and will be publicly reported on in the coming years. It is a working document, that will be adjusted if needed and continue to monitor EXO’s progress.
