A team from Exo Foundation recently completed the Cambodian Angkor Wat International Half Marathon 2011 on December 3-4 raising 2,750 Euros for Enfants du Mekong. This donation has helped them towards their final target in providing the capital to build 6 new classrooms in two Cambodian primary schools, 3 in Koy Meng and 3 in Trapaeng Thmor. Setup in 1958, Enfants du Mekong helps children across Southeast Asia through 580 different mentoring programs.
The marathon took place within the mighty Angkor temples, starting at Angkor Wat and heading toward Angkor Thom before crossing the Siem Reap River and passing East Mebon, Ta Prohm and Banteay Kdei, then heading back over the river to Angor Wat once more and the finish line.
Congratulations to the Exo Foundation team that took part on completing their challenge.
