Exotissimo is honored to be nominated the official tour operator for the 2011 Volleyball World Cup for the Disabled. The event takes place in Phnom Penh from 23-29 July 2011 and Exotissimo will be the key contact for requests from teams and officials extending their stays to discover more of the country’ s beauty.
With ten nations participating and leading members of the World Organization Volleyball for Disabled (WOVD) and the International Paralympic Committee attending, this promises to be an event of international significance.
WOVD is a member of IPC and encourages the growth and development of volleyball for athletes with a disability in all nations of the world. They do so through an organized program of education, instruction, promotion and competition, aimed at stimulating the athletes to join the world-wide Volleyball Family.
Cambodia had been chosen as venue for the third time in a row over the past six years. This is partly due to the popularity of the Cambodian team, but can also be read as a tribute to the Khmer people, who have suffered decades of war, leaving the country contaminated with landmines and its people heavily affected.
For six days in July, the world’s best teams, including the Cambodian one, will compete in an exciting tournament, showing the world that athletes with disabilities are just as gifted and dedicated to the sports they do.
Exotissimo is honored to be the official tour operator for this event, thus being part of a very dedicated initiative.
